California Gam FAQs

Do you do hair color trade outs?

As a company policy we don't do buybacks or tradeouts because most companies that do this practice, often times resale this product in eBay and become a part of the product diversion problem affecting the brands they are trading out from salons, and we don't want to be part of this problem. In addition, for your salon it's best to transition from one color line to another in gradual way so that the colorist can have time to transfer and adjust clients formulas to California Glam rather than do it all at once. Other brands don't care and trade out just to sell without thinking about the colorists and their clients. We have several new customer intro kits available at different price points and if  you don't see a kit that fits your needs, let us know and we can custom make one based on your salon needs.

Can you use Epic or GlossX to get a Demi effect (Deposit Only)?

Yes, on both of our colror lines Epic or GlossX you simply have to use our 7 Volume developer to give you a demi-permanent effect. Deposit Only no lift.

How can I become an educator of California Glam?

As the brand grows we will eventually expand our education team. Please know that the educators are selected from within our customer base, since you must know the products very well and be using our products in your salon for at least a year to be considered for a education position. Lastly, we require our educators to be very active in social media sharing their California Glam work, so a good way to catch our attention to your work is to be very active in social media posting work with our products and tagging us.

Are California Glam products tested on animals?

We do not test the products on animals, neither is any testing on animals done on our behalf. All our products are made in Italy and in Europe animal testing for cosmetics has been banned since 2013.  This is in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 (EU Cosmetics Regulation).

Do you ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or Canada?

If you are in Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or Canada, the cost is substantially higher to ship outside the contiguous US.  USPS is recommended as an alternative for those locations as the rate is much more reasonable. In any case once you place your order we will call you back and let you know the shipping options and costs so you can make a decision to ship your order.</p>
