History
Javier Rabago while working as Sales Director for U.S. and Latin America for Compagnia Del Colore and its Private Label Manufacturing Division got to travel extensively obtaining valuable feedback from thousands of salon owners, stylists and distributors in the U.S. While meeting all these wonderful salon professionals he realized that there was a need for a more efficient way to distribute a hair care product line in the U.S. and at the same time be able to control the #1 problem in the U.S. hair care industry; product diversion. He also recognized that Compagnia Del Colore had no presence in the U.S. and knew the great potential and impact that this professional brand could have in the U.S market.
When Javier mentioned his plan to a few trusted industry sources, they all doubted that a professional hair care line, let alone a professional hair color line could be sold successfully online direct to salons. They claimed that salons were used to having a store nearby and that they would not change this habit and that it would simply not work.
Determined and ignoring skeptics in January 2005 while working in Italy, Javier presented Haircared business plan to Giannantonio Negretti, President of Compagnia Del Colore, he not only understood the business concept but he gave his full support believing in Haircared from day one. From that day husband and wife team, Javier & Fernanda Rabago began working full time on Haircared.com. In April 2005 Haircared.com was officially launched in the U.S.
As in any startup, there have been challenges along the way which have been valuable learning experiences that have made Haircared stronger making it stand out not only for its distribution model but for their superior customer service.
In 2006 Haircared was very fortunate to tap the talent of Mags Kavanaugh as National Education Director having a huge impact in the growth of the company.
It has been more than four years since we launched Haircared and we can now tell all those skeptics that Haircared concept of selling direct not only works but it's now a very successful nationwide direct distributor of a non-diverted, exclusive professional hair care and hair color product line.
